The Decision I Never Regret - Buying My Honda City
Well it was this day that I dreaded.
My beloved 2007 Honda City started to have symptoms of either a cold start problem or the airbag charging light remains on after the engine is ignited. Every attempt to ignite the engine was like forcing an asthmatic patient to cough all the fleghm out of the throat/lungs. And with the airbag light remaining on after ignition, even though it was for another few seconds, I am also worried that it might not really work when I really do need it.
My car’s mileage is 29788 km now and due for the next service at 30000 km. But I really can’t wait. I just can’t stand watching my car dying while I do nothing. So I sent it for an early service.
After a routine inspection by the friendly service advisors at the New Era Honda Pudu Service Centre, they just reassured me that it was a problem with the batteries. Now that really comforted me, well afterall, a change of car batteries isn’t really much of a big problem.
So I continued asking about the price of a battery change. Now to my surprise, they said it is still under warranty and they will change it for free under warranty claims. This really made me a happy man! Wow come on! Free service for 2 years and still get your car batteries warranted for 2 years. How much more could I ask? Even though the service advisor said that I had to come back again to get the batteries charged next Monday, I’d just gladly do it because after all I don’t really quite need to fork out money.
Ok so Honda is the second brand of car I bought being the first brand was Proton. Comparing the performance of both, I am really satisfied with everything that came with the package of Honda City, considering how much more expensive it was. The service is very exceptional and professional, quality of the car is impeckable, and the service centre provides good coffee and wifi service too where I can work while waiting. I don’t know if service centres of other brands of cars are like this, but I am certain Proton isn’t. Well I’m not saying Proton is not good but the price difference really does tell a quality difference.
Honda didn’t pay me for this post (god I wish they would
at least in free services). I just think that I had a good bargain and I should share the info with everybody.
